Work Offline
Carry on working even when the Internet is down
You can run the Windows application in 'offline' mode without connecting to the
internet.
This is possible because a copy of your data is held on your PC in addition to the
primary source on the data server. Each time you start the Windows application in 'online'
mode it refreshes data from the server to your PC. As you enter data throughout the day,
your PC is kept in line with the server. This results in an up to date copy of your data
always being available on your PC.
Any work you do whilst in Offline mode is stored on
your PC and updated onto the server the next time that
you connect Online.
The functionality is identical apart from some
Admin functions which can't be carried out offline.
The main reason the 'offline' system exists is to allow users to carry on
working when their internet connection goes down.
